// Virtual instrumentation applied to an experimental bank for centering diameter of airships.
Abstract

Abstract:
In this paper the methods for the elaboration of systems based on open macros and the realization of mensurations of center of
gravity of airships by using virtual tools of analysis and prosecutions through a system of data acquisition. The different topics
approached give the interested parties a global idea of the development of this computacional technology and their application to
branches of mechanics, as well as the followed methodology to measure the center of gravity of airships. These methods can be
adapted and extended to other branches inside the mechanics, if the technological means are possessed for the experimental design
of the mensuration, with the objective of measuring not only the center of gravity, but elements like the moments of inertia of the
non homogeneous bodies, the elastic deformations of certain bodies, etc. general aspects of the software support used for the
development of the virtual instrument designed to the effect is exposed, this provide tools that allows to satisfy necessities of
scientific and engineers in order to settle down characteristic of instrumentation and automation.
Key words: Centering diameter, virtual instrumentation, center of gravity, center of mass, experimental
mensuration.
