// Contact Rate in circular Bevel gears.
Abstract
transmisiones.
Palabras Claves: Engranajes cónicos, razón de contacto.

The present paper expresses a deductive analysis of the expressions that allow the evaluation of the rate of total contact in
the conical circular engagements. The analysis has been carried out making use of the respective cylindrical virtual
transmission. Two equivalent formulate are obtained, only differ in some of the parameters that conform them. Each one of
these formulas is based on different forms of analyzing the rate of total contact and in particular one of their components,
the rate of traverse contact. The above-mentioned gives origin to two forms of analysis of the total contact rate.
One of the forms analyzes the contact between the teeth along the line of engagement and the other form analyzes the
contact through the arches of contact corresponding to the circumferences of reference, which coincide with the primitive,
in these transmissions.
Key words: Bevel gears, contact rate.
