Enfoques del análisis de envolvente al procesamiento de vibraciones // Analysis of encircling to the prosecution of vibrations for the diagnosis of
Abstract

Abstract
Envelope analysis of vibrations is very employed on rolling bearings and gears failure detection due
to low cost and high effectiveness of its implementation
This technique can be implemented through two ways: (1) filtering and (2) Hilbert transform, not
compared one each other yet. In this paper, a mathematical effort, done in order to justify the
capability of these approaches to be applied on rolling bearings diagnosis, is shown and a
comparison between these two approaches is revealed.
The Hilbert transform approach applied on envelope analysis was probed to be the most effective
technique for rolling bearings failure detection
.
Key words:
