Abstract
Del 12 al 15 de septiembre del 2000 se efectúo en el Instituto Superior Politécnico José Antonio Echeverría (ISPJAE) el
Segundo Congreso Cubano de Ingeniería Mecánica (CCIM 2000), con el auspicio de las Facultades de Ingeniería Mecánica de
Cuba, la Universidad de Ghent de Bélgica, las Secciones de Ingeniería Mecánica de la UNAICC en Ciudad de la Habana y
provincia Habana y el Ministerio de la Industria Sidero Mecánica de Cuba.
Este evento permitió potenciar, una vez más, la unión de la gran comunidad de Ingenieros Mecánicos cubanos y otros expertos
de Latinoamérica, el Caribe y Europa, que tienen la misión de desarrollar esta profesión ligada indisolublemente al ingenio, la
creatividad y el talento. Después de concluido el evento se presenta un informe sobre los resultados más importantes del
Congreso.

Abstract
The 2nd Cuban Congress of Mechanical Engineering was celebrated in the Higher Polytechnic Institute José Antonio
Echeverría, on September 12 - 15 of 2000, sponsored by Cuban Mechanical Faculties and the Union of Cuban Engineers and
Architects. This event protagonist once again the union of the great Mechanical Engineers community in Cuba and from
various countries of the Latin-american area with the mission of developing this profession with genius, creativity and talent.
After an arduous work and many good success is presented a report on the most important results of the Congress.
