Caracterización hidrodinámica de una columna de burbujeo agua aire // Hydrodynamic characterization of a two phase water air column
Abstract
Lograr determinar y evaluar los mecanismos que gobiernan los procesos de transporte entre las
fases permite predecir el comportamiento de los sistemas multifásicos y establecer estrategias de
diseño y de operación para obtener mayores rendimientos y mejoras tecnológicas en los equipos
donde tienen lugar estos flujos. Para el estudio de los procesos de transporte es necesario lograr la
combinación de metodologías de carácter teórico - experimental con la incorporación de las
técnicas novedosas de análisis numérico. En este trabajo se plantea como objetivo desarrollar y
construir una instalación experimental para el estudio de las características del flujo multifásico
agua - aire. Se presentan resultados sobre la influencia de la fracción de gas y el No de Re en la
forma de la columna bifásica.

Abstract
With the determination and evaluation of the governing mechanisms of transport processes
between two phases, is possible to predict multiphase system behavior and to establish strategies
to design and operate the equipment with the highest performance. To study transport processes is
necessary to get the combination of theoretical and experimental methodologies with the
necessary numerical analysis. The main objective of this study is to build an experimental
installation in order to study the characteristics of water air multiphase flows. Results about the
influence of gas fraction and Reynolds number in the shape of the biphasic column are presented.
