Simulación de esfuerzos Sxx durante repetidos ciclos de rayado sobre un sistema recubierto//Simulation of Sxx stresses in successive scratch cycles on a coated system
Abstract

Abstract
The main objective of this study is to analyze by finite elements simulation, the effect in the normal stress Sxx behavior, due the several scratching cycles development in the same groove at the surface of a coated system. For this reason, a simulation model was development to reproducing the contact and slip of a rigid particle on the surface of a coated system, allowing the imposition of residual stresses, increase of contact load and increase of the coefficient of friction. The results demonstrate the protective role of the residual stresses in the coating, and demonstrate the importance of the increase of the normal load and the friction coefficient, which lead to obtain high level stresses along the scratch test.
Key words: FEM simulation, scratch test, successive cycles, stresses.
