Abstract

La pertinencia de la carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica en la Universidad de Oriente y contribución en la solución de los problemas del territorio y/o país, se manifiesta a través del trabajo de sus profesores, trabajadores y estudiantes. Esto es reconocido por instituciones afines y entidades dentro y fuera del país. Este trabajo evaluó la pertinencia y el y el impacto social de la carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica de la Universidad de Oriente en Cuba e ilustra el patrón de elevada calidad de esta carrera universitaria, pionera en Cuba en la formación de ingenieros mecánicos. Los resultados obtenidos demuestran una destacada influencia positiva en el desarrollo de la sociedad, expresada en aspectos técnicos, políticos, económicos y sociales.

Abstract

The relevance of the Mechanical Engineering career at the Universidad de Oriente and its contribution to solving the problems of the territory and / or country, is manifested through the work of its teachers, workers and students. This is recognized by related institutions and entities inside and outside the country. This work evaluates the relevance and impact of the Mechanical Engineering career at the Universidad de Oriente and illustrates the high quality pattern of this university career, a pioneer in Cuba in the training of mechanical engineers. The results obtained show an outstanding positive influence on the development of society, expressed in technical, political, economic and social aspects.
