Modelo experimental para el análisis de la rugosidad superficial del acero AISI 1045 en el rectificado plano // Experimental model for the analysis of the surface roughness of AISI 1045 steel in plane grinding
Abstract
Abstract
The use of statistical methods of analysis has expanded in the different branches of technical sciences with proven success, allowing, together with simulation, the reduction of time and costs of certain processes based on the detailed analysis of different variables and their influence on these. This study sought precisely to obtain a mathematical model capable of allowing the evaluation, during the flat grinding process of AISI 1045 steel, of the influence on the surface roughness of the independent variables: longitudinal advance, type of cooling and treatment. thermal. In the investigation, three levels of the forward speed values were used, types of cooling, as well as two levels of hardness. The other process parameters were kept constant. With the values of surface roughness obtained in each experiment and subsequent statistical processing, the influence of each variable and their interactions could be established. Real and reliable results were achieved according to experiments and statistical analysis.
Key words: surface roughness; grinding process.
