// Approaches for the determination of minimum rpm of engine in stable movement.
Abstract

Abstract:
In this paper, the frequency of minimum rotation in stable movement is defined theoretically. This method uses the
reduced movement equation to find the value of speed that satisfies the equality of the dynamic factor with the
coefficient of road resistance. The validation was made by means of comparison with an experimental database. The
influence of minimum rotation frequency in stable movement is presented, with respect to the operation qualities, in
the elaboration of theoretical drive cycles, and the updating of indicators for engines and transmission systems.
Furthermore, are represented the behavior of the Automobile Work Effectiveness Coefficient with respect to the
minimal speed.
Key words: Engines, minimal speed, rotation frequency, vehicle evaluation.
