// Theorical models for the study of deformation.
Abstract

Abstract
A synthesis of the models that permit the study of the process of deformation either from the primt of the science of
materials or continous bodies is presented. Emphasis is placed on the techniques used to define tensional and deformation
tensors for their being so useful and not very frequent in engineering literature. The potentials that theses tensors have for
the construction of mathematical models referred technical processes justicify the efforts leading to a concrete application.
It is the author`s intention to model the spreading of metals in the rolling process as a specific case of particle
displacement.
Key words: Tensionals and deformation tensors, rolling mill, mathematical models.
