// Calibration Of piezoelectric accelerometers by using a virtual instrument.
Abstract
sensibilidad.

Summary
Vibration level measurements in machineries and structures require an appropriate instrumentation, being very
important the transducer used as primary sensor element. The quality of the measurement is significantly linked to the
dependence of the relationship between the magnitude to measure and the electric output produced by the transducer, as
well as the behaviour of this device to the content of frequencies of the vibration. The pres ent work shows the automated
implementation, through the FFT analysis, of a procedure in order to calibrate piezoelectric accelerometers submitting
them to random excitation forces.
Key words: calibration of accelerometers, vibration measurements, frequency response, sensitivity
