Comportamiento de la fuerza de corte en el maquinado de aleaciones termorresistentes con una herramienta cerámica BIDEMICS // Behavior of cutting force in the machining of heat resistant alloys with a ceramic tool BIDEMICS
Abstract

Abstract
In the industry, titanium alloys and stainless steels are frequently used, which are considered poor machinability materials, a characteristic that considerably affects the variables of cutting forces, surface roughness, wear of the cutting tool, among others. The objective of this work is to analyze the behavior of the main cutting force when machining two heat-resistant alloys AISI 316L and Ti-6Al-7Nb, both machined with a BIDEMICS ceramic tool. A high-speed CNC lathe, a dynamometer Kistler to measure cutting forces, and a full factorial design were used for the experiments. The favorable behavior of the BIDEMICS ceramic cutting tool was demonstrated to machining this type of alloys in terms of the cutting forces generated in the cutting process.
Key words: cutting force; heat resistant alloys; BIDEMICS cutting tool
